Pittinger reported on inquiries made to Chief Nate Harper concerning the implementation of K-9 Deployment and Crowd Control Policies stemming from CPRB Case #70-06-S, and recommended a public hearing on the policies, following which a motion was offered by Mr. Bankston and seconded by Mrs. Dalton, and approved unanimously; Pittinger attended a public hearing on 10/21/08, conducted by City Council at the request of citizens interested in the “Codification of the Consent Decree.”; Pittinger noted the release of the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police 2007 Annual Report, available on the city’s home page; 27 cases were reviewed.
