B-PEP Letter to the City and County in the wake of the George Floyd killing

April 21st, 2021

BPEP: “What B-PEP calls upon our area police departments to do is to help level the playing field. We are unfortunately at a time in this nation’s history when basically no Black or brown man can feel at all comfortable or safe when stopped by the police. That reality is wrong and must come to an end. We ask for the partnership or both our area political leadership and the leadership of all area police departments in making the slogan “Protect and Serve” a living reality for all the citizens of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County.”
