Ms. Hinton reported that she and Ms. Pittinger met with Public Safety Director, Michael Huss and City Solicitor, George Specter on May 7, 2008, to establish a protocol for the Citizen Police Review Board’s access to information held by the PBP and OMI; Pittinger reported that the agreement between the City of Pittsburgh and Ward McGough has been approved; Pittinger reported on a motion regarding enforcement of a subpoena involving Sgt. Vollberg which was presented before Judge Timothy O’Reilly on April 24, 2008; Pittinger reported that the five year rental lease agreement between the Citizen Police Review Board and Associated Investor’s Inc. has expired; CPRB Executive Assistant, Rhonda Sears departed on May 10, 2008 and Carolyn Gaskin filled this position on May 19, 2008, and Sherri Bridgett filled the vacant investigator’s position beginning May 27, 2008; Pittinger mentioned two police incidents that resulted in the death of two citizens: 1) Justin Jackson, May 6, 2008 and 2) Nang Nguyen, May 23, 2008; Pittinger announced that the CPRB Staff will host two individuals from the Pittsburgh Summer Youth Employment Program (PSYEP); 14 cases were reviewed.
